The 2026 FIFA World Cup returns to North America this summer and while it’s had it’s share of drama — from battling local New England town politics to managing global issues with the USA-Iran War — it promises to be a big and exciting tournament.
This year’s World Cup will be the 23rd edition of the tournament but the first to feature 48 teams and three host countries: Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The tournament kicks off on June 11th at 3pm ET with Mexico facing South Africa in Mexico City, and Korea against Czechia at 10pm in Guadalajarra. The pools round runs through June 27th and then the Knock Out bracket of 32 teams starts on the 28th.
