2024-2025 NCAA Bowl Schedule
The NCAA football season has ended, but a new era in college football is set to begin with this year’s first ever 12 team playoff format to decide the National Championship. By tripling the number of teams involved in the playoffs, college football has declared the end is near for the existing Bowl Season structure. Yes, the games are still scheduled, but it’s only a matter of time before this long-held tradition goes the way of the dodo.
Let’s see what’s in store for this year’s December and January college football extravaganza.

We’ll start with the new playoff format. It features 12 teams, with four earning a bye week for the first round of the playoffs. These are the conference champions of the major conferences (Oregon-B1G, Arizona State-Big12, Georgia-SEC) and undefeated Boise State, who has the first week off for the College Football Playoffs.
After the first-round games, there are quarters, semis, and the championship in mid-January. Interest will be high given that this is the first iteration of the new format. This represents a great opportunity to drive some traffic by crafting a promotion for the occasion.
As far as the remainder of the Bowl season is concerned there are 35 other games to also create excitement. In fact, there are some great matchups that should be easy traffic drivers. For example, you Iowa State vs. Miami (FL) on December 28th and Alabama vs. Michigan on New Year’s Eve just to mention two great ones.
Don’t waste any time and get rolling on your promotional offer. Whether you build a pick ‘em campaign or a frequency program for visits during the Bowl Season, give your guests a reason to engage. Have a great end of the year and launch of 2025. This much football should make that much easier.
