How to Add Streaming Sporting Events & Games to Your STVG

With the recent explosion of streaming sports and the widespread adoption of the services that provide streaming to commercial operators, we saw an opportunity to add a feature to support the trend. We are very happy to announce the ability to include your streaming content on the main guide you print daily. This new feature will allow you to identify the events that are on streaming exclusively and be prepared to share them with guests.

Our team at SportsTV Guide is always searching for ways to improve the value of our service. This is why we have added streaming as an option on your main guide page. Previously, we made the streaming listings available via a tab on your guide, Streaming Events. While this was helpful to those of you that noticed it, the requirement to basically switch guides made it impractical.

This is especially true now that we have services like EverPass delivering their various content via streaming via UPShow.tv. Because there is so much streaming content available now, we felt it would simplify the process of identifying what guests might request by including it on the main guide page you print daily. The above video demonstrates just how easy it is to add streaming to your guide.

The events are listed in the By Time format and even include a link to launch the page for that content. We determined that adding this feature option would satisfy a need our subscribers were experiencing. Certainly, there won’t be less streaming content going forward, so it will grow into a potentially essential schedule element as the platforms evolve.

We have an overall roadmap to developing new functionalities for the SportsTV Guide community. This new feature was a priority that we were able to complete just recently.

How to Add Streaming Sports to Your SportsTV Guide

First look for the section marked Customize Listings. From there, click on Settings > Channels. This will take you to the channel customization page where you can BLOCK languages, individual sports, and individual channels.

At the top of this page you will see an option that reads “Include streaming events on your guide?” Check the box to activate the feature. Then hit Save & Exit.

Once selected you will see any streaming content that is scheduled included in your guide.
