Each year when the NFL returns to action you can hear an audible sigh from the hearts of most sports themed operators in North America. While this year is no exception, there is some trepidation to contend with for restaurants that rely on the NFL to pay the bills. A new wrinkle has been emerging over the past couple of seasons presented by exclusively streamed NFL games and it’s disrupting that reliance on the NFL for restaurant operators.

There are several games that are exclusively on streaming this season, starting with the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs playing a game in Sao Paolo Brazil on September 5th. This game is available to commercial viewing venues exclusively through EverPass. If you want to show this Week 1 game, you will need to contact EverPass as soon as possible to get set up with service.

Of course, the Brazil game is not the only streaming only event on the docket for the NFL this season. Netflix has two games on Christmas Day again this year. There is also another exclusive game on Peacock Sports Pass on December 27th. Given the proximity to the playoffs this game will have implications for post season play.

As you already know, you can access the entire NFL Sunday Ticket season schedule through EverPass. However, what you might not know is that a newly announced collaboration with Spectrum Cable will also allow anyone that is on that platform to access the NFL Sunday Ticket via their Xumo Stream Box. This means for the first time some commercial venues can access the NFL full season via an inline broadcast provider other than DIRECTV.
